Moltrasio

The picturesque village, another famous tourist center of the lake, is crossed by a stream that swells after the rains, forms a noisy waterfall jumping out a deep valley, this was especially admired by Vincenzo Bellini, the famous composer that the country was home (plaque commemorating the Psalter-Salvi villa where he lived and fell in love of the owner of the villa, Giuditta Cantù Turina).

The town, with its hamlets, is placed in front of Torno, lying on the shores of the lake and clinging to the slopes of Mount Bisbino.
On the slopes of the latter it stood several quarries from which was extracted a gray-blue color stone building known throughout the area and used, in times before, even by the Masters of Como.

The fractions you can hike onto the paths, leading to the summit of Bisbino or to the municipality of Carate, offering the possibility to admire beautiful landscapes and enjoy the coolness of the woods.
